Texas Nationalist Movement:

A chance for America to make a legitimate argument for castration

Sure it would be painful…at least initially…but WTF! If the views expressed by those Nationalist Movement lunatics outside the Texas State House Saturday are, as they would like you to believe, in some way representative, then perhaps the rest of America should just get out the scalpel and be done with it. Let's go ahead and snip Texas off the bottom of the map of the U.S.A. like some troublesome appendage...you know, sort of like you'd do to a randy dog!

What you’re about to see and hear is a brief sampling of the kind of absurd nonsense the featured speakers were spewing during this intellectual gathering in Austin…and keep in mind that the first two geniuses who speak are both running for Governor of the Lone Star State. Yikes!

Here’s the link (hit the "Back" button on your browser after you watch it):

Now here’s the thing. We don’t believe for a minute that these morons represent anything but the lunatic fringe. But that said, we’re noticing a disturbing trend in a particular region of this country that has a very ugly undertone.

Whether it’s Texas, Georgia, Alabama or Arkansas…virtually all this talk about sovereignty or secession or whatever they’re calling it, is taking place in the South. Well, the South and Alaska! And the reason, unfortunately, is all too easy to figure out. It’s racism, pure and simple, and when you get right down to it, not very subtle racism at that.

No matter how they may protest to the contrary, the common denominator whenever and wherever talk of secession rears its’ ugly head is that, first and foremost, these people hate Barack Obama with a venom that’s hard for any reasonable person to comprehend. They simply can’t deal with the fact that a black person is in the White House, and as a result they’ll never regard him as the legitimately elected President of these United States. Put in their language, “…there’s no way any damn n----r will ever be my President”.

Think about it. Where were all these secession movements when George W. Bush was President? Not in the Red States…that’s for damn sure. Well, Democrats had to put up with eight years of the Bush–Cheney reign of error, and somehow we managed to do it…so it’s time to man up right-wingers. Barack Obama is the President. Stop your pathetic whining and denying and deal with it. After all, you guys are supposed to be the tougher, ‘manly’ Americans. Start acting like it…and if you’re not happy about what’s going on in Washington or your State Capitol, show your dissent at the ballot box, not by acting like idiots!

And speaking of idiots, how about that bright light in the Texas Nationalist Movement video who was droning that people who can’t afford or don’t have Health Care should just “…get a job”. Can anyone seriously be that insensitive, or stupid, or both?

Fact…the majority of Americans who don’t have Health Insurance or are underinsured have jobs… albeit often low-paying jobs, and often more than one. Unfortunately, they either work for companies that don’t offer health insurance to their employees or, due to circumstances beyond their control, such as a pre-existing condition or some prior catastrophic medical incident that befell them or some other member of their family, are faced with premiums that are so outrageously high they simply can’t afford to pay them.

The number of people who actually refuse to buy their own health insurance merely because they're looking for some sort of free ride is negligible. So, in response to the ‘get a job’ drone…we say “get a clue”!
